Heroes on the Homefront (HOTH) is a South Australian based veteran’s services charity specialising in Connecting veterans to programs, Program Development and Training available to them and providing family and community events.

Operation K9 dogs are provided to Veterans of the Australian Defence Forces (ADF) who have a diagnosed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) due to Operational Service.

Who can apply for an Operation K9 dog?

To be eligible to apply for an Operation K9 Dog, the applicant must have served or be retiring from the Australian Defence Force and have a diagnosed PTSD condition that has been acquired during a military operation. All applicants must be 18 years of age or over and a resident in South Australia.

Hearts4Heros is a non profit organization selling secondhand goods with all proceeds going directly to help support Military, Veterans and Emergency Service personnel .

The Ex Military Rehabilitation Centre Inc is a rehabilitation and welfare organisation serving Australian ex military personnel, peacekeepers and veterans of wars and conflicts, past and present. It is located in a former factory complex on an acreage of Defence Department Land opposite the R.A.A.F. base at Edinburgh, South Australia. Workshops are provided for Carpentry, Computing, Arts and Crafts and are complemented by a recreation room and dining area. Meals are provided on the programme days of Tuesday and Thursday and staff provide catering for functions and fundraising events.

Welfare activities are diverse and range from drug rehab assistance, house moving, transport, gardening, painting, loan of furniture and equipment to social activities, commemorative events, hospital and nursing home visits.
